
An award-winning performer whose career has found her in major studio films, independent productions and hit television shows, Lisa Kudrow brings her renowned comic timing and always-game attitude to the role of Jeff Daniels caring but put-upon surgeon wife in Paper Man.
Ms. Kudrow broke into television in the early Nineties when she was cast in the recurring role of the ditzy waitress Ursula on Mad About You, which then led to her co-starring role as Phoebe on the smash hit show Friends. She portrayed the character for 10 seasons, winning an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and five additional nominations, along with a Screen Actors Guild Award, an American Comedy Award and a Golden Globe nomination. During that time, she also began appearing in a wide variety of films, including such studio productions as Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Hanging Up, Mother, Lucky Numbers, Analyze This and Analyze That, along with such notable independent efforts as The Opposite of Sex, Clockwatchers, Wonderland, Happy Endings and the recent Powder Blue.
Along with writer/director Don Bucatinsky, Ms. Kudrow formed the production company Is or Isn’t Entertainment in 2003, which created the critically acclaimed HBO show The Comeback, in which she stars. The show was nominated for three Emmy Awards including one for Ms. Kudrow for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Most recently, Is or Isn’t produced the new documentary genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are?, as well as the popular online series for Lstudio.com, Web Therapy, in which she also stars.
Upcoming film projects for Ms. Kudrow include roles in comedy Easy A alongside her Paper Man co-star Emma Stone and the drama Dirty Girl with William H. Macy and Milla Jovovich.
