EMMA STONE ABBY

Recently featured on the cover of Vanity Fair’s annual New Hollywood issue, Emma Stone’s freshness, spirit and beauty bring to life her portrayal of Paper Man’s Abby, a seemingly well-adjusted but troubled 17-year-old who is harboring a secret that has shaped her life.

Born in Scottsdale, Arizona where she was a member of the regional Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix while growing up, Ms. Stone convinced her parents to let her move to California for an acting career in 2004 after she presented them with a Power Point “audition” set to the Madonna song “Hollywood.”

After arriving in L.A., Ms. Stone immediately launched a career in television after winning the role of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show The New Partridge Family (2005). She subsequently picked up parts in such TV series as The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Medium, Malcolm in the Middle, as well as a regular role on the 2007 Fox drama Drive.

Ms. Stone’s feature film debut came in the critically and commercially acclaimed Judd Apatow-produced comedy Superbad in 2007, where she played co-star Jonah Hill’s lively love interest, Jules. Her comedy talents were further displayed the following year in The Rocker with Rainn Wilson and The House Bunny with Anna Faris and then again in the 2009 romantic comedy Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. Most recently, she appeared in last year’s horror/comedy hybrid Zombieland with Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin, a theatrical sequel for which is reportedly in the works.

Up next for Ms. Stone is a starring role in the Will Gluck-directed high school comedy Easy A, a featured voice part in the live action comedy Marmaduke, which is based upon the famed comic strip, and an appearance in an as-yet-to-be-titled ensemble sketch comedy feature directed by Peter Farrelly and co-starring Elizabeth Banks, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet and her Paper Man co-star Kieran Culkin.
